Theme Hospital
How to get Theme Hospital Working on Windows Vista or XP
- Download and install DOSBox from http://dosbox.com
- Create a folder to store DOS games, called C:/DOS (or whatever you like, but this guide will assume you're using C:/DOS).
- Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive, which I will assume is called D:
- Start DOSBox, and type:
mount d D:
mount c C:/DOS
D:
setup - Install the game to C:/HOSPITAL like it reccommends.
- Once the install is finished, I typically select the "Sound Blaster" for the SFX, and "Ad Lib" for music. This may require a bit of trial and error. Automatically configuring the Sound Cards should work fine.
- Once the install has finished, exit, and you should be greeted with a screen that says "C:/HOSPITAL" just type the following command to play the game.
hospital
- After you've finished playing, you'll need to type the following commands the next time you enter DOSBox to play Theme Hospital:
mount d G:/
mount c D:/DOS
C:
cd hospital
hospital - However, you can just add the following lines to the end of "dosbox.conf" in the C:/Program Files/DOSBox-0.72 folder, if you don't want to have to type them in every time.
mount d G:/
mount c D:/DOS
C:And then you just have to type the following to play the game:
cd hospital
hospital
No-CD Crack
- Assuming you used my above guide to install the game in DOSBox, then copy the folder D:/HOSP to C:/DOS/HOSPITAL/HOSP in Windows, normally.
- Then, go to the C:/DOS/HOSPITAL file, and open up the "HOSPITAL.cfg" file in notepad. Edit the first line to:
INSTALL_PATH=C:HOSPITALHOSP
- Take the CD out of the drive, and open up DOSBox. Try to play the game, which should work fine now :D
